Virtual Day in Clay programs
Where creativity, culture, and
clay intersect
Students learn the art of clay in all its splendor.
They get a behind-the-curtain look at a working artist’s studio, and learn how clay has been used throughout the centuries.
Throwing pots and vessels, hand-building, tile-making, glazing, decorating, trimming, firing are all explored.
The three-dimensional art of clay is a cross-disciplinary activity. It engages art, science, cultures and sociology.
We excite student’s creativity, encourage cultural exploration and look at the centuries-old connection between art, form and function.
