The webinar is the virtual form of my in-person hands on program. I teach this in the same style that I teach my college classes, so it is educational, challenging, engaging.
A big component is connecting to a culture that is rich in symbols, patterns, and imagery. The webinar will consist of multiple hands on demonstration video segments, photo slideshow, with voiceover, and live question and answer sessions. I will guide them through a detailed step by step instruction on how vessels are made. The students will eventually be constructing their own vase or bowl form.
The art teachers can use the webinar info to create an in-classroom workshop experience in the following weeks. They will eventually design their own vessel, using the advanced hand building techniques demonstrated in the webinar. They will use transparent paints to finish the pieces. Teachers will also be provided with a downloadable checklist of arts activities for the students.
Day In Clay provides a hands-on art experience. Programs designed for your curriculum. Within minutes, participants are involved in the process of working with clay and learning about the relationship between art and society.
